Conversazione.
In 1825, it became Accademia Medico-Chirurgica di Ferrara.
It later had the following names:
(1) Accademia delle Scienze Mediche e Naturali di Ferrara;
(2) Accademia di Scienze Mediche-Naturali e Fisico-Matematiche di
Ferrara; and
(3) Accademia delle Scienze di Ferrara (its current name).]

Medical and Physical Society of Calcutta
[According to an authority record in the
Illinet cat., a note
on p.2 of the 1883, Sept.1 issue of the Circular of selections
indicates that this Society was
organized in Mar. 1823.
A note at the
at first in Calcutta website reads
"The European physicians in Calcutta met on 1st March.1823, to found the
'Calcutta Medical & Physical Society'. The venue of the meeting was The
Asiatic Society.".
Records at Harvard Univ. cat.
indicate that their Transactions were published 1823 - 1845
(v.1 - v.9, part 1).
The Society may also have been known as the
Medical and Physical Society of Bengal; no confirmation from a
library catalogue has been found yet.
Scudder, #3782a is a listing for a
Vol.1, no.1 (1837) of a
Quarterly Journal of what appears to be the same society:
Calcutta Medical and Physical Society.
RSLC, v.1, p.xxv cites something that
appears to
be the same thing, but with a different date and slightly different name:
Quarterly Journal of the Medico-Physical Society published
in Calcutta in 1857.
It is not clear whether the Society survived past 1857.]
