1823	According to its website, the Academy was founded in 1823 as a group entitled Medica Conversazione. In 1825, it became Accademia Medico-Chirurgica di Ferrara. In 1893 it broadened its scope and became Accademia delle Scienze Mediche e Naturali di Ferrara. In 1935 it became Accademia di Scienze Mediche-Naturali e Fisico-Matematiche di Ferrara, and in 1938, it took its present-day name, Accademia delle Scienze di Ferrara.
