Other Projects of Broad Scope Covering Scholarly
Societies
In the course of searching for sites that included information on
particular scholarly societies, we have come upon sites that bear some
resemblance to the Scholarly Societies Project. That is, they include
links, and possibly other information on, a broad range of scholarly
societies.
Below we include links to the best such sites that we have
discovered. NOTE: we include links to other projects of narrower
scope in the subject guides for the appropriate disciplines.

Select Nonprofit Organizations on the Internet
[A collection of pointers to collections of resources of non-profit
organizations (largely social-issue organizations). Few of these
organizations are actually scholarly societies. This brief list was

TechExpo Directory of Hi-Tech Organizations in the Engineering and
Medical/Life Sciences

- Many countries and international; subjects areas in
engineering and
the medical and life sciences; this section of TechExpo is restricted to
societies, which are either scholarly or professional.

- From their top level page, enter the name of the society
into the search engine. This the best way to use their site. They also
have various subdirectories devoted to societies,
for example, their subdirectory entitled
Business and Economy: Organizations: Professional , which (in spite
of its name) covers virtually all professions.
