This book on the history of Saxony mentions, on p.165, the founding of the following scholarly societies: the Societas Jablonoviana = Fürstlich Jablonowskische Gesellschaft in Leipzig (founded 1774 and still extant), the Oberlausitzer Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften in Görlitz = Oberlausitzische Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften (founded in 1779 and still extant), the Societas Philologica Lipsiensis = Philologische Gesellschaft in Leipzig (founded in 1784 and survived until at least 1897), and a Naturforschende Gesellschaft (founded in 1787) [it is not clear which society is intended here].
