The probable cessation date, as well as the contemporaneous name (Real Sociedad Económica de los Amigos del País de la Provincia de Segovia), is given by its publication, the Actas y Memorias .
The 4o Recorrido.- Segovia y Provincia en los Siglos XIX, XX y XXI mentions that the Sociedad Económica Segoviana de Amigos del País was created in 1875 in memory of the society that had been founded in the 18th century. The Revista Cultural de Ávila, Segovia y Salamanca (2002, Mayo, No.34) indicates that this Society existed between 1875 and 1916. The information at the Archivo Municipal de Segovia, however, seems to suggest that this later society existed until 1917.
