According to Zur Geschichte der Medizinischen Fakultät (a webpage on the history of the Faculty of Medicine at Justus-Liebig Universität Giessen), the Hessische Akademische Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften, which was founded in 1767 by Hermann von Riedesel and which had as secretary of its Medical Class Chr. L. Nebel, existed for only seven years. When it was dissolved in 1774, only a single volume of the Acta philosophico-medica societatis academicae scientiarum principalis hassiacae had appeared, namely the volume for the year 1771. | |
